One of the first questions couples ask me after they receive my brochure is “What’s the difference between Wedding Coordination, Wedding Management and Full Wedding Planning and what do I need?”

It’s a fair question because the wedding industry uses these terms interchangeably, when in reality they can mean completely different things depending on the planner.

At Sarah Louise Wedding Planner, each service has been carefully designed to meet couples where they are in their planning journey. Whether you're newly engaged and you’ve just started planning, have everything booked but need an expert to bring it all together on the weeks leading up to the day, or simply want someone you can trust on the day itself because you're a type A bride and are struggling to relinquish control but still want to be present, there’s a service tailored to exactly what you need.

Full Wedding Planning & Design

Perfect for couples who want an experienced professional by their side from beginning to end. This is the perfect service if you don't have the time to plan a wedding, if your budget allows or if you are struggling with your vision, design and supplier choices.

Planning a wedding isn’t just choosing flowers and tasting cake - unfortunately! It’s hundreds of decisions, countless emails, supplier meetings, contracts, logistics, timelines, budgets, venue visits and contingency planning. On average it's 300 hours of your time, often more if you're indecisive! Imagine how quick your evening goes when you're scrolling for an outfit- now multiply that on a much bigger scale and over several months!

That’s before you’ve even thought about enjoying your engagement.

My Full Wedding Planning & Design service is a partnership from the moment you book until the last supplier leaves on your wedding day. Unlike a fixed-fee planning service, my Full Wedding Planning investment is 10% of your total wedding spend, with a minimum investment. This ensures the level of support reflects the scale, complexity and logistics of your wedding, whether it’s a single day celebration or an extended multi day experience.

Together we’ll create your vision before carefully bringing it to life. I'll take over those hours of admin and communication, I'll source and recommend trusted suppliers that genuinely suit your style, priorities and budget, manage every conversation on your behalf, oversee logistics, create comprehensive timelines and ensure every detail is thoughtfully considered. You’ll benefit from regular meetings, WhatsApp support, venue visits and complete supplier management, allowing you to enjoy the excitement of your engagement while knowing every detail is being professionally handled.

On the wedding day, my role goes far beyond simply coordinating suppliers. I’m quietly overseeing every moving part, managing timings, anticipating problems before they arise and ensuring you and your guests experience a celebration that feels effortless.

Quite simply, you enjoy the day. I take care of EVERYTHING else.

Wedding Management

Perfect for couples who’ve planned the majority of suppliers but need certain supplier recommendations, ongoing advice and support ans who want to hand everything over before the big day.

This is probably the service that’s misunderstood the most. Quite often, please mistake planning a wedding, for booking suppliers. There is a very stark difference.

By the time we start working together, you’ve already booked your venue and most of your suppliers.

My role is to step in, learn about your wedding and take over the communication, administration and logistics a few weeks before.

I’ll review supplier bookings, create detailed timelines, identify any gaps, liaise with every supplier, attend the final planning meeting and become everyone’s main point of contact. From that moment onwards, you can finally stop answering wedding emails.

When your wedding day arrives, every supplier already knows exactly what they’re doing because I’ve spent weeks making sure they do.

Wedding Coordination focuses on the delivery of your wedding day itself.

I’ll oversee supplier arrivals, coordinate timings, assist with venue styling, support the bridal party, direct guests, keep everything running to schedule and discreetly resolve any issues behind the scenes.

You shouldn’t spend your wedding morning answering supplier phone calls. Your mum shouldn’t be directing florists. Your best man shouldn’t be trying to organise musicians. Your venue coordinator shouldn’t be expected to manage independent suppliers, décor, photographers, entertainers and family logistics all at once and quite simply- they won't!

Instead, everyone gets to enjoy the day exactly as they should.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that wedding coordination begins when I arrive at the venue. In reality, the success of any wedding is determined long before the morning arrives. Exceptional wedding management means preparing for every possible scenario.

The reality is, weddings rarely go EXACTLY to plan. The difference is whether you or your guests ever know. Most of the time, they don’t. Because while you’re enjoying a glass of champagne with your favourite people, I’m quietly solving problems, adapting plans and making dozens of decisions that you’ll probably never even hear about.
