The story behind the day

Three adorable girls, hilarious groomsmen speeches, copious amounts of tequila and, quite possibly, the best wedding food I’ve ever eaten. Sophie & Gianluca’s five-course Italian feast deserves a portfolio feature of its own.

Music was always going to be a big part of this one. Leighton Jones of The Voice UK performed alongside Gianluca’s dad’s famous band, before DJ Dan Willow, a serious blast from my Cardiff nightlife past, took over and saw the celebrations through to the end.

The dance floor was packed, the tequila was flowing and the atmosphere was exactly what you want from an Italian-Welsh wedding.

And Sophie & Gianluca? Total model couple. Effortlessly cool, ridiculously photogenic and an absolute dream to work with.
